Im not one to write blogs, but I said I wasn’t one to film farm 24 and that went OK so here goes – short and sweet.

The new distillery

In April 2020 plans were passed for us to build our new on farm distillery this is to be located on the plot of land next to our house. The distillery is going to give us more room to expand and grow and also be able to welcome the public on site to be able to sample and purchase our gins.

On the 19th September we (I) finally made a start put the new driveway in and prepared the site to start building. It was a full 48 hour dig off starting at sunrise and finishing well after sunset, a big job done and a good start to the build.

We are hoping to take on as much of the project ourselves as we can while working alongside a local builder and good friend, Mark Robbinson.

The distillery is going to comprise of a shop and public area where our still can be seen working. A bottling & labelling area and a room for some much needed storage space at the back. We are looking forward to having everyone on site.

All being well we should be opening up early 2021.
